Daily Routine at Brookeville

Structure is important in early recovery, but so is comfort. Our Brookeville facility balances therapy with restorative activities that allow you to form a deeply personal connection.  Our women’s rehab program features a carefully planned daily routine. Mornings begin with wellness checks, followed by therapy, either in groups or one-on-one. The day also features community involvement, time for rest, and healthy meals. We encourage patients to enjoy outdoor activities and participate in supportive get-togethers, like fireside chats with their peers, where healing, sisterhood, and stability provide a safe space to share, reflect, and rebuild together.

Are Gender-Specific Rehab Programs Effective?

For many women, mixed-gender rehab can feel intimidating or unsafe, especially for those who have experienced trauma. At The Freedom Center in Brookeville, women can open up without fear of judgment, triggers, or the need to ‘hold back.’ This freedom creates a deeper level of trust, stronger connections, and more effective healing for women in recovery.

Where most inpatient rehab facilities are mixed-gender, offering women-only and men-only group therapy sessions, our Brookeville rehab for women gives patients an opportunity to relax and be themselves in the companionship of others who are going through similar things.. Women who have experienced trauma caused by men will especially benefit from women-only addiction treatment programs, as they can recover in a place that feels safe and is free from any potential triggers.

Rehab for addiction is still heavily stigmatized, but it’s even more so for women. Many studies show that women with substance use disorders are much less likely to get treatment for their addiction than men. [2] Additionally, women are more likely to have obstacles that prevent them from seeking help or completing treatment, such as:

  • Family responsibilities
  • Co-occurring disorders (anxiety, depression, chronic illness)
  • Financial struggles
  • Fear of how rehab will affect the family and friends [3]
  • Lack of support or resources to find help

Are Women-Only Programs More Effective Than Mixed-Gender Programs?

Some studies have shown that women enrolled in female-only addiction treatment programs are more likely to complete their full program than in mixed-gender programs. [4] When paired with female medical professionals, patients are more likely to stay sober, feel that their care team understands their specific needs, and are more empathetic. [5]

At our Brookeville women’s addiction treatment center, we aren’t just here to get you through recovery. We’re here for you for life! Our alumni programs and community resources are a great way to not only stay connected with us, but with the new you. By being among your peers who have been through recovery and participating in activities encouraging healthy habits, you will form lasting relationships and help each other stay sober.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Brookeville Women’s Rehab Program

How Long Does Inpatient Addiction Treatment Last?

At our Brookeville women’s rehab, the typical length of stay for drug and alcohol rehabilitation is 21 days. However, this can vary depending on the individual patient’s needs and their personalized treatment plan.

Is There a Difference Between Inpatient and Outpatient Drug Addiction Treatment?

Inpatient treatment means staying overnight at a facility for a set period, offering a highly structured environment and constant medical supervision. Outpatient treatment, on the other hand, provides flexibility, allowing patients to get care while still living at home and managing their daily lives.

Can Family Members Visit During Inpatient Addiction Treatment?

We understand how crucial family support is in the recovery process, and we welcome loved ones to visit during designated times that align with the patient’s addiction treatment plan. We also strongly encourage participation in our family therapy sessions to foster healing.

What Happens After Inpatient Rehab?

Continuing care after inpatient rehab is vital for long-term recovery. We offer several options for individuals to continue their journey with us. They can participate in our outpatient programs at our Brookeville facility, move into one of our supportive sober living homes, or join one of our aftercare programs, which are designed to meet their unique recovery needs.

How Much Is Inpatient Rehab for Women?

The Freedom Center accepts most major insurance policies, and we offer flexible payment options for those whose insurance doesn’t cover our addiction treatment programs or who are uninsured. We are committed to ensuring everyone has access to recovery, regardless of their financial situation, and we will work with you to ensure you receive the treatment you need.

Is Residential Treatment a Lockdown Facility?

True to its name, The Freedom Center offers a rehab facility where patients have the freedom to come and go. However, for those in our women’s inpatient rehab programs, remaining on-site during their treatment period is highly encouraged to mitigate the risk of dangerous relapse.

Can I Bring My Laptop or Phone?

For the privacy of all patients, cell phones are generally prohibited in residential treatment facilities. Laptops are also typically not permitted within these units, though exceptions may be granted in specific, case-by-case situations.

Are Private Rooms Available?

Patients reside in semi-private rooms, shared with one to two other individuals. Private rooms are not available at this time.

Are There Rules in Inpatient Treatment?

At places like The Freedom Center’s Brookeville location, there are rules to help everyone stay accountable and support their healing journey. These usually mean you need to be on time for all your therapy sessions, substance use is prohibited, and violence is not permitted. If you want to know about all the specific rules, it’s best to talk to your admissions advisor. They can tell you everything you need to know about the treatment center and your individual situation.
