Nutritional Counseling – The Freedom Center’s Nutritional Counseling service looks at the total person, their dietary intake and their lifestyle to determine an individualized supplement and eating program that is tailored to the person’s body and current state of health. Since the food we eat, the water we drink and the way we live our lives determine the overall health of our bodies; good, balanced nutrition is vital to having a strong, healthy body. The bio-nutritional program makes only “all natural” recommendations in alignment with the holistic approach. As part of addiction treatment, this nutritional program begins the process of repairing physical damage that has occurred due to prolonged substance abuse.
In addition to nutritional recommendations, IOP participants may receive an amino acid therapy recommendation that addresses the latest research that states brain chemical deficiencies are at the root of addictions. Amino acid therapy begins the process of repairing and rebalancing brain chemistry. This part of the IOP can help reduce the early recovery challenges such as depression, anxiety, cravings, poor impulse control, obsessive thinking, problems with memory and concentration, and insomnia.
For other Freedom Center clients, nutritional counseling can help promote and maintain total health and wellness.
